Site News. This site is in the process of being actively redone in an effort to further beautify our online presence. Until the new site premiers, please check out the pics that Her Grace, Elisheva was VERY kind enough to provide. You can, of course, find them under the "pics" button below. Enjoy!
The Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) is an international, non-profit, educational organization that recreates the Middle Ages.Members study topics such as dress, weaponry, or any other aspect of life in the Middle Ages. Then, as a living history group, the members turn their study into reenactment; making artifacts and using what they have learned to create the ambiance of chivalry and honor associated with our ideals of the Middle Ages.
The Rolling Thunder household, along with the Federated Households of Thunder is a national organization that paticipates in the Society for Creative Anachronism. Everyone has their own perception of what the S.C.A. is to them, so if you would like to know more about them, follow the link above in the text.
Rolling Thunder, has members mainly in the Barony of Al-Barran. Rolling Thunder's main concentration is in the art of drumming. We have many members interested in a variety of Arts & Sciences, as well as combat, but our drumming is known best. Thunder drummers have been known play non-stop for entire week long events.
Thunder drummers do enjoy taiko drumming such as the Kodo drummers, but are not taiko drummers. If you know why you're here, welcome; If you don't, I hope you'll stay and comment anyway. Remember, if you don't have anything nice, or at least constructive to say, find somewhere else to waste your time, and Merry part.
